CARE & TROUBLESHOOTING
ARE NIGHT FIXTURES OK IN THE WEATHER?
Since Night Fixtures bases were originally inside lamps, they are made from materials that were intended for inside. And while most of them have been clear-coated to add an extra level of protection from the elements, over the years, they may show signs of wear, chipping paint, corrosion, rust, etc. We believe this adds to the interesting character of each one. Because of the uncertain way each one may age, it’s possible certain styles could leave a ring or spot on tables, tablecloths, rails, floors or other objects. Please consider placement with this in mind.
CAN NIGHT FIXTURES BE USED INSIDE?
Yes. Night Fixtures are perfect for adding extra light during storms and power outages. Just bring inside for an excellent worry-free light source for any room.
my light isn’t shining.
NIGHT FIXTURES are equipped with rechargeable batteries. And while they should last several seasons, it may be time to replace yours. Twist off the top assembly (where the light is coming from). Flip over and access the battery compartment with a coin, screwdriver or fingernail. Some batteries will have a date printed on the side. Replace the battery with a rechargeable AA battery.
MY LIGHT STILL ISN’T SHINING.
Sometimes the battery connection can become loose if the lamp has fallen over. Follow the instructions above to access the battery. Ensure that the battery terminals are clean and free of debris, and that the battery has a tight connection.
CAN REGULAR AA BATTERIES BE USED WITh NIGHT FIXTURES?
While we do not manufacture the lamp hardware, we cannot recommend using regular, non-rechargeable batteries. However, for temporary use, regular batteries will cause the lights to operate. Since regular batteries cannot be recharged, the light will illuminate non-stop until the battery is removed- or has discharged.
